I've just started going through old info email. Most are spam. I've forward
the ones I don't think are spam.

Subject: honey bees at my fountain & hummer feeder
Message Body:
Hello Bee people
I have a situation with some honey bees coming to my backyard fountain and
hummingbird feeder. There have consistently been 50-100 or so bees on my
fountain most of the day. In addition they have taken over my hummingbird
feeder to the point where the hummers cannot drink there any longer. I like
bees but my husband is allergic to their sting and my dog is getting a bit
too interested in this many bees milling around. I know there are several
neighbors with hives so they are likely traveling around Blackpoint in
Novato where I live. I suppose I should turn the fountain off and take the
feeder down to deter them. But I'm curious why so many are hanging around?
Also, I suspect they would still come to the fountain unless we drain it
and that would likely ruin the wine barrel's integrity. Can you give me any
advice?
thank you
colleen
